I made this rough concept sketch in mid-December 2003 as part of a project proposal for a computer game company. I’ve blacked-out the identifying part of the title. They wanted a huge map (32 × 32 inches) using a style similar to my Mars 2172 C.E. map. They decided to pass on my offer, but I feel that sci-fi maps like this have a lot of potential.
Each of the six planets (seen at the top and bottom) would be comparable to the map of Mars and the larger star system would, of course, be the centerpiece. I made the planet names up as I went so they’re a bit cheesy. In its final form, this map would be packed with detail...
